MemberStack lets you create members-only sites, a subscription plan, hide content, customize login form, sign up form etc.
So, let’s get started!
We are going to https://app.memberstack.io/ and create an account. When you signed up, you are ready to go!
In the next window push this button
to add your new website and choose
Set your website name in the form below.
The next field is optional, you can leave it blank. But if you really want to, choose something. :D
Btw this field tells Memberstack about when you plan to launch how how serious you are about this stuff.
You don't have to fill in this field either. But suddenly you really want to write what industry your website fits.
Then, you can choose a ready-made template and work with it. But I'll show you an example of a site quickly assembled from layout.
So we'll leave this switch untouched.
In the next option you have to choose whether you want to pay a subscription or not.
And if the subscription is paid, you will need the currency in the next parameter.
Ok, the next step is membership’s creation. That's exactly what we need isn't it? Yeah! :D
So the dashboard opens in front of you and clicks the “Create a membership” button.
Then click the
button at the right side of the screen
Now you will see the “Membership form”.
Choose plan name.
Choose a subscription option.
Price of the membership.
Billing frequency where you can choose how often your members should bill: monthly, yearly, weekly, one-time.
See this switch called “Custom billing interval”? Want to be paid every 2 months? So click the “Monthly” button, turn the switch on and enter the number you want.
Next step – Free Trial.
If you want to let your subscribers try your product for free for a few days, turn this switch on and enter the number of days.
If you choose Free Trial you will see this option.
Turn this on if your members are required to add a card when they start a free trial.
If you want to set up a one-time fee when members first signup, turn this switch on and set the price.
And of course you can set a fee name.
Warning: You can’t choose “Free trial” and “One-time fee” together. You have to choose one of them.
Next option – Taxes.
You can turn the switch on to collect some taxes for your pet or for yourself. But it's better for a pet. :D
Set the number of tax and the name.
Notice that everything you do on the left side (forms, options, switches, names) shows up in the form on the right side.
Here you can hide content that will only be accessible if the user has a subscription. Push this button to choose what content should be hidden.
So after clicking the “Hide content” button we will see this menu.
Let's break this down!
In the first field you should type some content name. Just a few words.
I want to hide the “super_premium_conten” page on the site. That's why I called it like this. :D
Next field – we should type here the page’s name from the URL.
But how to know what name is it? Of course I will show you!
You just should publish your project by clicking the “Publish” button on the right side of the screen.
After successful publishing, go to the site by clicking this strange button.
You can add other url pages to hide.
You can delete them by clicking on the “trash can” button and choosing the “Confirm Delete” option.
Did you see this pop-up menu on the right?
If you choose “Starts with”, anything after this word
would be hidden.
And “Equals” – hide only selected page.
Then choose the page where your subscribers should be sended if they haven't accessed. “Contact” for example or a login page.
And lastly, you can hide links to members-only content by turning on this switcher.
When you are ready to continue, click the “Create” button.
After this you will return to the “Plan page”
Here choose what page members should redirect after a successful sign up. Or enter # symbol if members should redirect to the homepage.
Then you can add specific pages to which the user will be redirected.
And then click the “Create Membership” button at the bottom right of the screen.
Ok, go back to Dashboard.
And click “Instal header code”. In this step we turn on the integration of the MemberStack into the Webflow site.
Copy the code manually or by clicking the “Copy Code” button.
We're almost there! :D
Now go to your project in Webflow and open “Project settings”.
In this newly opened tab click “Custom Code” then paste previously copied code from MemberStack and click “Save Changes”.
Ok, now publish or republish your site by clicking on “Publish to Selected Domains”.
Now when I click on the “Premium content” button on my site I will be redirected to the “Contact page”..
Soon I will write how to connect login and signup forms and work with them using MemberStack.
